His latest musical projects include remixes for David Bowie and Ozomatli as well as a full length album on Plug Research released June 5th 2012. Dj’ing has taken him to Shanghai, Panama, Argentina, London, Amsterdam and Paris where he loves to explore new sounds and dig in record shops. He has a weekly program on LA public radio station KCRW (89.9FM and KCRW.com) late Monday nights and is a resident DJ at Dublab.com.
When he was only four, Arizona native Quetzal Guerrero picked up the violin and hasn’t put it down since. Throughout the years he has become an outstanding instrumentalist and performer- fluid with his voice, guitar, percussion as well as an accomplished dancer and capoeirista. Quetzal’s art, much like his American / Mexican / Brazilian heritage, bridges many Latin and American cultures and styles, offering an unassuming yet explorative convergence of styles and influences spanning American Folk, Soul, Jazz, Funk, Samba, Bossa Nova, reggae, and Afrobeat. http://www.qviolin.com/
